Mary Sumner House provides a historic setting for conferences in the heart of Westminster, London. Our Grade II listed building is surrounded by impressive landmarks, including Big Ben and Houses of Parliament, and can host boardroom meetings of up to 48 guests.

Conference Hall

The Conference Hall is our largest space at Mary Sumner House, a versatile room that can be used for boardroom meetings of up to 48 guests. Hire of this lower-ground-floor space includes the use of a projector and screen, making it well-suited to presenting.

Mary Sumner Room

With beautiful, original stained-glass windows and glass chandeliers, the Mary Sumner Room is ideal for hosting Senior Leadership Team meetings, stakeholder engagement meetings, board meetings, interviews, and AGMs. This period room can host up to 24 guests in a boardroom layout and includes the use of a display screen.

Sarojini Naidu Room

Equipped with a display screen and offering plenty of natural lighting, the Sarojini Naidu Room is well-suited to hosting training sessions, workshops, and intimate meetings. This space can accommodate up to 14 guests in a boardroom layout and works well alongside the Mary Sumner Room as a breakout space.

Malala Room

Our smallest meeting room is the Malala Room, seating a maximum of 6 guests in a boardroom setting. This intimate space is perfect for private meetings and training sessions, or as a breakout room used alongside one of our other spaces.

Rosa Parks Room

The Rosa Parks Room is a modern meeting space equipped with a display screen and large windows flooding the room with natural daylight. Best suited to senior management meetings, stakeholder engagements, board meetings and AGMs, the Rosa Parks Room can host up to 24 people in a boardroom layout.

Wangari Maathai Room

Meet the Wangari Maathai Room, a modern meeting room equipped with a display screen and large windows offering plenty of natural light. This space is well-suited to smaller board meetings, briefings, and strategy sessions of up to 20 people in a boardroom layout.

Maya Angelou Room

The Maya Angelou Room is located on our second floor and is ideal for hosting senior leadership away days, smaller board meetings, workshops, and planning sessions. This space can host up to 16 people in a boardroom layout, and hire of the Maya Angelou Room includes the use of a display screen.

Queen Elizabeth II Room

With original features including a glass chandelier, a feature fireplace, and a dedicated boardroom table, the Queen Elizabeth II Room is perfect for interviews, training or planning sessions. This period meeting room can accommodate a maximum of 16 people in a boardroom setup and includes the use of a display screen.

Mary Slessor Room

Accommodating a maximum of 12 people in a boardroom layout, the Mary Slessor Room is best suited for hosting training sessions, workshops, and interviews. Hire of this second-floor space also includes the use of a display screen, making it ideal for presentations.

Audio-visual facilities for meeting

We have a selection of audio-visual facilities available to support your meeting. Our first and second floor meeting rooms offer video conferencing equipment, making them well-suited to hosting hybrid and virtual meetings. Table-top microphones and lectern microphones are available to hire for events in the Conference Hall. We also have several audio-visual packages available for meetings hosted in the Conference Hall.

Meeting catering

We can provide refreshments to complement your meeting in all of our rooms apart from the Conference Hall. This is priced at just £6 per person, including VAT, and includes tea, coffee, biscuits, and water.

For meetings requiring catering, we recommend either Spoilt for Choice or Sands Catering. Alternatively, you are welcome to use caterers of your choosing.

Our building is in a prime Central London location, just moments from Parliament Square and Westminster Abbey.

Mary Sumner House is surrounded by excellent transport links and is a short walk from Victoria, Westminster and St James’s tube stations, served by the Victoria, Jubilee, District and Circle lines.

Our nearest train lines are Charing Cross, Waterloo and Victoria, and several buses pass by our venue, including 3, C10, 88, 11 and 87.
