The Queen Elizabeth II Room accommodates up to 16 delegates in a theatre-style layout and features original period details, a glass chandelier, and modern AV technology. Located in the heart of Westminster, our meeting room provides an inspiring environment for productive meetings whilst just minutes from major transport links. The history behind the Queen Elizabeth II meeting room

The Queen Elizabeth II Room is one of two period rooms at Mary Sumner House, carefully preserved to maintain the original character and features of the building.

This distinguished space showcases a stunning glass chandelier, an elegant feature fireplace, and refined soft furnishings that create a warm, professional atmosphere. The room is ideal for interviews, training or planning sessions, high profile interviews and filming (subject to permission).

All furniture is flexible and can be re-configured to suit your specific needs which our team are happy to assist with. The Queen Elizabeth II Room has hosted numerous meetings and workshops providing teams with a great set-up for productive meetings. We offer refreshments such as tea, coffee, biscuits, and water at £6 (VAT inc.) per person and we also offer flexible catering options giving you the freedom to bring in your preferred caterers or we are happy to recommend our trusted caterers such as Spoilt for Choice or Sands Catering.

Located in Westminster, the heart of London, Mary Sumner House makes it easy for all attendees to get to. We are nearby several major underground stations, numerous bus routes and have parking facilities nearby.

Boardroom Layout

This set-up facilitates direct communication and is great for encouraging discussions and collaboration. The dedicated boardroom table creates a professional environment suitable for board discussions, interviews or any other meetings involving sharing ideas. The Queen Elizabeth II Room can accommodate a maximum of 16 people in a boardroom layout.

Meeting room technology

The room is equipped with a wall-mounted display screen and sound bar connected via an HDMI cable, which is included in the venue hire fee. Additionally, a portable Logitech video conferencing systems is available for hire, compatible with MS Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, WebEx, Cisco and other software providers. Our team are able to help you with any technical set-up to ensure you have everything you need for your meeting.

We have used these facilities for many years now for Management meetings for ca. 20 people at each event. The service, including copious quantities of tea/coffee/biscuits etc., is always unfailingly excellent. The location is excellent and the meeting rooms are very good value for money.

Our non-for profit charity has used the meeting room/suites for training. They are a great size and all of our trainers expressed positive experiences from Mike and the venue - fully recommend.

Our non-profit organisation has been using the meeting rooms at Mary Sumner House for several years. Their conferencing coordinator, Mike, has consistently been helpful in ensuring the space we hire meets our needs. The team at Mother's Union is highly professional and discreet, making it an ideal space for confidential meetings.
